Regional Development Australia Central Coast (RDACC) has released its 2025–2030 Central Coast Regional Enabling Infrastructure Priorities List, a strategic roadmap of critical infrastructure projects needed to drive jobs, attract investment, and unlock the full economic potential of the Central Coast.
With the region’s population expected to grow by more than 50,000 people by 2041, reaching 404,250 residents, the demand for enabling infrastructure is greater than ever. This growth will also require the creation of over 30,000 new local jobs to support a thriving and sustainable community.
To meet this challenge, RDACC has coordinated the development of an agreed list of thirteen significant enabling infrastructure projects requiring funding and expedited delivery.
RDACC Chair Gail Cottrill said the release of the updated priorities list builds on a proven track record of securing infrastructure investment for the region.
“Since the launch of RDACC’s initial Critical Infrastructure Priority List in 2016, our collective regional advocacy efforts have helped secure over $2.5 billion in essential infrastructure funding for the Central Coast,” Ms Cottrill said.
“The 2025–2030 Priorities List provides a clear and coordinated roadmap for the next stage of our region’s growth. These projects are not only about supporting population expansion, but also about creating quality local jobs, boosting investment, and building the infrastructure we need to thrive well into the future.”
Ms Cottrill emphasised the collaborative nature of the list’s development.
“This list represents a strong consensus from regional stakeholders on the infrastructure that matters most. It is a shared vision for what the Central Coast needs to continue to prosper.”
RDACC CEO John Mouland said the release of the new priorities list marks a significant step forward in preparing the region for its next phase of growth.
“The Central Coast is on the cusp of major transformation, and these projects lay the foundation for sustainable economic development,” Mr Mouland said.
“Our role at RDACC is to ensure that the Central Coast not only keeps pace with growth, but also maximises every opportunity for new jobs, investment and innovation. This priorities list provides the infrastructure blueprint to achieve just that.”
